Ironically (not for all vehicles), there are instances where some "foreign" Japanese models contain more domestic parts content than some of the domestic models. I believe Mustang and Focus are two of those cases...

But there'* no way that all parts are domestically sourced for any car, no matter the make.

This is quite true in a number of cases. It'* truly a globally sourced market these days and despite what we might like to think, high-quality auto parts can now come from just about any of the countries that supply them.

The other side of that coin is that many of the foriegn car companies have found that they can buy and/or product U.*. made parts very competitively. Newer suppliers do not have the heavier retirement and older union contract costs to carry, giving them much lower overhead costs.
