Default These stupid ad popups...

I am not sure when I started getting pop-ups again, but for the love of all that is holy these ones blocking the forum link bar needs to burn in hell!
I could bookmark the Today'* Post link, or I suppose go to the New Post link, but since I have been here to see if any threads I responded to were replied to I have used the Todays Post link, but every damn time I try a stupid ad like this Ford-F150 one is blocking the links, if I click on quick links the tree expands, but the stupid ad is over top of the links, that is so damn retarded...
Sorry but I had to post and express my aggravation, I have overlooked it for a while now, and the more it happens the more pissed off it make me...

I hate it too, and it was one of the reasons I started using AdBlockers

I mean I could see if the ad did not block you from accessing the links, no matter if you click on the damn ad or not, you never get access to the links it blocks, which is a serious design flaw.
On occasion I can let the ad expand, then click the X to close it, which only minimizes it back to the page, then I can access the link I am trying to get to..

I am sure there is a way to change it so it does not block the links, if only Mike did not retire, he'd be able to fix it with ease!

No, I can't fix that. And this is one of the reasons I left this ******* **** hole. The owners of this place are only interested in 2 things. Data farming and selling ad space. And don't think for a second your PM boxes are private. They are not.

Use AdblockPlus. It takes care of about 99% of the ads. Works great on YouTube where they force you to watch a 4 second ad.

Yeah man, I figured the way things had been going with the owners of the site lead to you left, I understand the need to display ads and what not, but when they become more of a nuisance due to poor placement/management, then it only frustrates members, you know it takes a lot to make me upset, and the ridiculous ad placement just drives me nuts, if I click on a site link, it should display over-top of the ad, not have the ad blocking useful links.

And yeah I have never felt privacy was totally private, and that goes for any site like this, the gaming clan I was a part of looked at a few peoples PM'* before, when they thought the people were trying to spread stuff to get members to leave, so yeah man I am sure it happens.

I'll check out Adblock Plus, I used it is the past, it has been a while though..

Ahhh yeah, AdBlock Plus seems to work great, no more retarded ads stopping me from using the forums without aggravation
Thanks Mike!

I am still loving it, like I said I am all for the ads if they can make them not interfere with the function of the site links, when I cannot get to a link because of one, that is where I draw the line!

I've tried explaining things like this to them, but my complaints fall upon deaf ignorant ears. And they just don't care.
