nope, might even be less than 500. but i just put over 500 bucks into the thing the beginning of the year, which should help my cause out some. and yes, that is the beauty of it. that is all you can notice is the tail light and the ding in the bumper. but if you were to look at it closer, you would also notice the damage outlined towards the beginning of the thread. i can get tail lights <yes both> for $10 plus shipping. i cant wait

Anyhow, sorry about the ding. Sounds like the hitch probably helped you out more than you know.

well, hate to scare up an old thread, but appearantly this isnt over. i just got a call from the Las Cruces Police Department, asking me to appear in court tomarrow @ 2pm. it seems he is fighting his ticked, claiming that i stopped short of the intersection for no appearant reason, and that my brake lights were not working. if i dont appear, his "criminal charge" as they called it will be dismissed. quite frankly i could care less, unless this is going to have negative side effects for me too. what should i do? will anything happen to me if i dont show?

If you don't go, and he gets off, It becomes partly your fault and his insurance company could either not pay, or if they have paid already, they could try and get the money back. Especially since he claims you had no brake lights and stopped short. Those could mean tickets for you. Don't be lazy and dumb on this one cause it could come back to get you.

Bringing up old threads is your reason for living..who are you kidding.

Go or expect to get a call and rate hike from your insurance company. Laziness is the enemy.
