I have no clue were your going with that because your dead wrong!!! Why do you think prosumer cameras use MINI DV and not DVD'*? Do not get a DVD camera they are the WORST! I have 2 MINI DV cameras Sony HDR-Z1U and Canon GL2(Canon sucks by the way) and have had no problems with them. I work with tons of MINI DV cameras no problems.
I guess i am wrong again maybe not everyone spends what others would on a car on camera equipment. All I was saying is for your average joe the DVD is more convient to finalize it and then pop it in the dvd drive then using the cables and such. W/e i love mine that is all that matters

For $50 more you can buy new!!!
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....=1181832841570
plus its an updated model

Bought my girlfriend a JVC miniDV tape camera for Christmas and she loves it. THe DVD cams dont hold as much info on a disc as the miniDV tape ones do. So youd run throught DVDs like crazy. You got all your firewire stuff to go to computer?

I bought a vupoint DV-DA1-VP Camcorder. Its not the best thing in the world but the quality is good. Plus its a camera and an MP3 Player. Which I now use it for all 3 things...

$148 shipped of newegg.com
