damn. I'm surprised you didn't know. When I feel off of some monkey bars (where I belong) in middle school and landed on my arm, with my arm between my body and a hard rock, it broke both of the bones in my arm right near my wrist. It didn't hurt, but I was kinda in shock. I felt totally weak and could barely even stand up. It was like I lost all energy, then the hot/cold flashes started coming from my arm. It never did hurt though for me until the day after. wierd.
You can thank you adrenaline for that. It'* a natural response to not feel pain for a bit although I'm suprised that it zapped all of your energy since it'* a flight mechinism.
Actually, it'* the fact that it was a break that got him. The flight response doesn't really work right with broken bones because it didn't evolve to handle them. Primitive man was pretty much screwed if he broke an arm or leg, and usually didn't survive very long after, so the right response never evolved.
Later, when rudimentary medicine came around, bone-setting made the "stay-in-one-place-and-scream-for-help" response more appropriate.

BTW, toasty, I TOLD YOU SO!!!
Even if it was a sprain, you should have gone to the ER immediately. Sprains can go bad, and cause degeneration in nearby bones. Not something you need to have happen.

That does suck. I fall off my bike all the time now that it'* nice out. I've never broken my wrist riding but i've broke a few fingers, fractured a rib, and fractured the flanges on my lumbar vertebrae. So, i probably feel some of your pain.
Now that i've started doin rails agian (had a baaaaaaaaaaaad fall last year) i'll probably end up breaking soemthing by the end of the summer.
oh well...
