Tracy, I need ice for my drink. Will you send me some???

Once you have decent credit, you can use competing card companies to get some very low rates..mine is currently 7.99%, not that I carry a balance now. I've also used one for business equipment costs. It has some advantages...ASSUMING you have good credit to start with.

I agree... Good credit can help you... and if you have to be responsible with the cards.. More than most of the time its the person behind the card that makes it Evil...

Thats not to say I haven't dropped credit cards for various reasons.... But I like to keep the lower interest cards... My main card is a Master card.. The highest card I have is 9.99%

I'm only keeping my $500 limit capital one "platinum" because it'* my longest line of credit (credit history length is around 15% of your FICO). Now, my main one is my significantly larger USAA card which is GREAT, if any of you are in the military, or meet the req'* for having a family member in the services.

I don't know if I'd finance much of a business on a credit card. You're still at almost 11% on your rate.

I was surprised when my auto loan came back @ 6.5% when all i've had is 3 years with credit cards, granted I have a credit score over 700, but nothing long term, or large lending yet.
