Anyone here a licensed storm spotter? If so, what did you have to do to become one and through which organization

Im guessing NSSL as a starting point. I used to be a spotter for the FD I worked for. Some of the guys were licensed, but I never asked from where.

Cfoote is a something..weatherman. He can report on them etc..

I don't think he'* checked BC in a while though

my family and i used be be active with skywarn (ham radio storm alert) but that was just as an amatuer spotter and observer, my brother however is a weatherman/forcaster for the USAF in Japan and has a BS in meteorology....

Hmm, some good tips. I have looked at that Skywarn stuff, its kinda vague with the descriptions and instructions on how to get into it, for at least around here.
