I do have quite a life outside BC. It only takes a few minutes to post 20 times in an effort to help someone out. That'* what this place is all about. As far as the signature goes, we were having issues with quite a few members. And when you're asked to fix it within a certain time period clearly called out in a NOTICE and a PM from me, and fail to do so, you lose it. And you weren't the only one. You were, however, the only one to bitch about it like some spoiled rotten hollywood starlet. And now you're ONCE AGAIN the most flagrant violator of our signature policy in NOTICE which you have been PM'd links to at least TWICE. I'll leave it up on page two of this topic for you to compare it to the NOTICE.

I still have aluminum shavings embedded in the back face of that belt. The coating your shop applied did nothing to stop the corrosion on the other 10 pulleys, so what makes you think the pulleys would withstand the friction of the belt? A few members out here have SEEN my new 'aluminum' belt and the groove worn into the face of that pulley. I bought it to TEST and PROVE it. It does as advertised, in the sense that the WP spins 10% slower. As far as the little **** I create for my car is concerned, most of it has already been proven on other cars now, and more is coming. Had you ever posted in the last year except to stir up controversy with BL, you'd know this. In fact, another S1 L67 LIM got a workover yesterday in CT, and will be posted today (it already is in General Chat in a preliminary post).

You are responsible for your claims. And I'm glad you admitted that you are drawn to controversial posts. It'* a step in the right direction.

You're missing out on a key point, JL. His 14.5 claim is the issue in many ways. Neglecting to explain his supposed track prep, refusing to produce his timeslip to two of the Staff here, and all the other issues you see here. I could give two ***** if someone has a quicer car than me. Some of the cars that are quicker are that way in part because of my help. I take pride in that. I'm not some child that takes my oh-**** handles out of the car in the hopes that it might shave enough weight to beat someone, then not tell anyone that it was done. When I track prep, it takes me 5 minutes, and I tell everyone how I did it. In part so they can understand how and what to do, and also so people understand how that relates to my track times, and how it may relate on the street.
I let alot of topics go unposted. In most cases, there'* more of an expert than me. That'* why we created the Gearhead ranks. But if I know the answer from my own personal experience, I do my best to help. Take the L36 issues as a case in point. Look at how little information I posted in them for over 4 years. I learned alot from others, but never tore into the problem until last weekend. Now that I've experienced that mess, I'll switch gears and offer my advice and help to those that need it.

In closing, I don't like the personal jabs you throw at people. The issue here isn't the two guys who raised the BS flag this time, and it isn't about Pat and I. Nor is it about the other members of this Forum that posted in this topic. The issue is about some pretty wild claims and the attitude to go with it. And you, whether you like it or not, are now a part of that attitude (again).

First, let me note that I am not on Blazin'* side of this one. Make a claim, back it up, tell how you did it. The only defense against a BS call is total disclosure.

Will, you know I like you, but if this topic involved anyone but you, you would have locked it on the first page and sent a stern PM to the involved parties.

I'm really quite shocked to see some of the staff handling this issue like this. I recall as a mod that things like this should be dealt with by the staff in a moderating manner rather than an antagonising manner.

But nevertheless, I don't see this stuff as a big deal. I don't think Blazin is getting a fair treatment. His 'attitude' spoken of is only a normal defense mechanism used when he gets jabbed at everytime he seems to post. It'* not really fair from my POV. Remember folks, it'* just the Internet. Don't let the integrity of the club fall apart from one person'* questionable claim.

Like I said before, let the man speak. We're bickering about something we don't even know about.

i dunno man, this issue has been discussed before (at least two other occasions). I feel that actions should've been taken a long time ago but these guys' were given a lot of chances to redeem themselves.

Sol, this is exactly why this topic was split here by Matt, and kept going. He refused to produce a timeslip to John Wikoff and myself. This topic was a chance for him to do so, and it was the last chance.

Gonneville and Sol, are you both now seeing why this topic ran it'* course? Just as in the past, certain topics were left in the public eye as an example and to show the general membership of the Forum WHY we do what we do.

It also serves another purpose. It keeps conspiracy theorists from being able to claim we attack them mercilessly and then hide the evidence. This one is in the public eye partly due to the smack talk about me from BL and JL.

Notice that they don't jump on the Moderators that posted in this topic, who are both very well aware of the past problems with BL.

This is an unfortunate situation, but the responsibility for the fallout belongs squarely on BL'* shoulders. We will be drafting a new policy on unproven claims. BS will not be tolerated on this Forum for a major reason. It breeds flames.

I see Sol'* point ,but I also see the frustration that has been caused by all this undocumented claims and boasting. And I also have seen the childish antics in Blazin'* sig boxes and his general disrespect for other people'* ideas for mods and views of whats good or not good for an individuals car.

And the pixel Crap is just that. My 6 year old Grandaughter knows what a pixel is , and how to check a pic for measuement. She also understands why rules are made and doesnt think of herself as above them or to use them to see how far she can bend them.

Hurt the club ... I doubt it. I commend staff for letting this come out in the open and let the dialoige happen in the open. I think a rules revision is in order and when that happens, it should be done out in the open, not behind the doors of the mpod room.
