Speed Limits?
60 in Texas, 70 in Arkansas, 45 on the big roads, 35 in neighborhoods, 15 on the one-laners.. 15 over won't get you a ticket.
It'* Texas, We have to go far to get anywhere...

55 on public hiways and all roads not posted otherwise
towns/cities average 20-45
but illinois troopers have let me fly by them doing well over the limit on the interstates

Just talked with Jason, Speed Limit in Montana is now a posted 75 in the interstates, BUT..............a ticket for speeding is, instead, usually an on the spot, $5.00 fine (no points) for "wasting of natural resources"! No kidding.
He said you can get a speeding ticket for extreme reckless speed for current conditions, but this $5.00 "natural resorces" law was put into effect to "by-pass" the federal requirement for a "posted speed" and in response to mostly, long-haul truckers using the interstates in Montana.
Most truckers just carry some $5.00 bills and if they get pulled over, pay the fine and roll!
Hmmmmm.....

Arround here it is mostly 65 and on I75/71 it is 55
There are a couple of roads that say "End 45mph speed limit" then there is not another sign for 10mi or more till it says "reduced speed ahead" followed by a 45mph speedlimit sigh about 500ft later.
I love the roads that have a posted limit of 35 and have a sugested speed for turns at 45
