Default Dhp limits Pcm sales

Just read this at Intense racing,
02.13.04 - INTENSE™ No Longer Offers DHP PCM'*
DHP recently informed us that they are going to begin enforcing pre-existing contractual agreements. As such, INTENSE™ can no longer offer DHP PCMs with adjustable timing for sale. Should any of our customers need an adjustable timing PCM, they should contact DHP or one of their other distributors directly.
bummer, I was hoping Scott could help us with a custom burn :(

It will be hard to offer performance parts with no PCM'* to back it up. A lot of crap has been happening since the INTENSE/ZZP split but if I know Scott he will come up with something. Give them a few weeks.

Why are you guys so bummed out about that when DHP sells the PCM for our cars directly. To me, that is the best thing to be able to buy direct and not have to deal with a middle man.

DHP sells through resellers. In the case of Intense, they did not have a formal arrangement with DHP to sell PCMs of any kind.

Intense has said they, and everybody else, will not be able to sell PCMs with adjustable timing unless you buy either the Decade box from Digital Ken or the ZZP ICCU. Makes sense because if people think it'* wise to adjust the timing, they had better have the means to track and calibrate it properly. Basically DHP said you better be sensible about it and have the right tools.

Since Scott (Intense) wants nothing to do with ZZP or related parts, he will not offer the accompanying parts to allow him to continue offering timing adjustable DHP PCMs. I beleive he will continue to offer 'standard' DHP PCMs.

Cheers,

That'* interesting. Good thing I live local to DHP and was planing on going to Charles Breyers house anyways for my custom DHP, than to the dyno.

I wonder if all the DHP sellers, share the codes and adjustments they've come up with with eachother. I know a few here have a dhp for SSEi wonder if there all the same.

Are any of you asking for anything special with your future DHP PCM?
