So since Brian finally got to Atlanta I decided that I'd drag him, his mother, and my girlfriend out to South Carolina for some nice short track racing.

We headed out to Anderson Motor Speedway in Anderson, SC. About a 2 hr drive from my house. $15 at the gate and we got there just in time to see the qualifying of the local classes. Then a meet & greet with the drivers of the CARS Pro Cup. After a slight intermission it was time for racing. I got this vid of a restart at about the halfway mark.

The guy on point is the guy we wanted to win. With about 30-35 to go a lapped car who was 3 laps down was trying to get around him to get a lap back. Jeff didn't wanna let him just go by so he was racing him. I guess the lapper didn't like that and decided to spin Jeff out, which brought out the last caution. Jeff had to pit to take tires after that which put him in 4th. He was able to get into 3rd but that was it. Besides that one crap move by a lapped car, it was a really good race.

Was a pretty sweet race. Still can't believe Jeff was there since the last time I saw him race was in Ohio with the Hooters Pro Cup.

Yeah, we've gone two weeks in a row. Great super late model action. That cop car was freaking awesome though.

We have one of those up my way. Love sitting in turn 4 with a big thing of cheese fries(clay mud added) and a bunch of beer. Which reminds me, need to attend next weeks race.
