I guess it'* one way to keep your car from all the loose carts, since no one using those anyway.
A few years back one of my friends worked at a grocery store (cart boy lol.) And he told me his manager told him if he saw anyone do that let someone in management know and the car would be towed.
I guess there are many people who do that in a busy parking lot during the day.
