practical examples of E85 compared to regular...

for a 3.5 impala, you go from 28 to 21 on the highway, that'* a 25% drop. i think that'* a middle of the range result though, i'm seeing a lot that are worse and some that are better.

I'm willing to bet you see a even bigger drop on city driving. Less power to get started means more fuel used to get going.

Ya these prices suck. For the bonneville it doesn't bother me much as that gets good mileage anyways.

For all city driving with both my Work Van that gets 15mpg with a 25 gallon tank, and our Trailblazer that is getting 15mpg with its 22 gallon tank...they are very expensive.

Gas is a cost of life though, so whether it is cheap or expensive, I'm still going to be buying it...just have less money in the end left over for the luxuries in life..

i have to wonder if the normal gasoline rating was with the LZ4 and the E85 rating with the LZE... the site doesn't specify, and they're both 3.5 liter engines....

Very often they skew the numbers a bit, round this up, round that down. It all effects the numbers. So lest say the gas number is actually 18.4, and the E85 is 13.6, that makes it a 26.1% difference.

that'* probably the situation... that'* still not bad IMO, considering the wider gap between stoich ratios...
