I beleive that if you are committed then it doesn't matter which way you go, a gym will have more to work out on and a Bowflex will be quicker. The bowflex will also leave you with somethinig to sell if you find out you're not one of the committed people.

But again the bowflex doesn't provide fit girls in tight pants to make the workout more enjoyable
