I know how it is, my Bro and my dad both have it also, and im sure i might too, i just dont want to find out yet :(

If you have any questions and need info or help let me know, my dad is doing really well, he lost like 40lbs and is controlling it good with diet. and is on the Lowest Dose of Meds the Doc can find for Type 2.

The biggest thing i found to loose weight was to cut out ALL! sager drinks.

I drink Water or Diet soda * and other drinks.

I was at 295 and dropped to 260 just by cutting out Reg soda'*

the one thing my dad does it walk EVERY day about 1-2 miles on a treadmill in winter and outside in summer.

He'll get it, there is no room for failure, thats one road you don't want to go down; long slow painful blind death.

Trust me, I'm taking this seriously. I'll get it nailed down, only question is how long, and bad does it hurt me financially. I'll be going back to flatbed soon, so excercize is a given. I'll also be picking up a folding bike come spring, so I can tool around the back roads around truckstops and customer lots.
Carbs will be the hard part, I think. Unfortunately, truckstops don't really cater to healthy living. I'll have to start planning things out at the beginning of each week, which means one more thing to add to a ridiculous schedule.

Brian, all you really have to do is get a cheeseburger and throw away the bun!
