Well atleast the papers have something to talk about, unless all those other vote such as the military, provisional, etc, swing the balance in Ohio.

I wondered why he did that so early. We are still waiting for lots of votes to come in. I wouldn't say it'* over until it'* over.

The only debate that remains is the uncounted "provisional ballots" in Ohio. But the statistical probabillity of those votes outnumbering Bush'* 136k popular vote lead in that state is, well, nearly impossible. Not to mention a 3 million popular vote lead nationwide, which is about as solid of a win as a close race can get. Kerry knows all that.

Ya, well, Kerry did go out very maturely and professionally. I'm glad MI won the Democratic vote. At least I can be happy with that.

Actually, Kerry shows respect and dignity by doing this. It is also politically better for him. By this move, he certainly will have real good chances to run again in the Senate for his home state and win.

Not to mention that this country doesn't need a repeat of 2000. It is also good for the healing of our country.

My understanding is that exit polls are more to get figures and statistics accross races, genders etc.

They both agreed in the phone call that the country needs to come together.

I have very mixed emotions about this right now. I am reading a lot of people opinions on various sites and watching TV. I want to just put the election behind me, but I hear about what people are saying, and I find it very sad that our country is so split. I feel like I should make a stance, but there really isn't anything I can do.

I never thought I would get so emotional over my country.

I've got plenty of mixed thoughts running though my head. I'm sure you will see something either today or tomorrow ... once I organize everything inside my head.
