Don't worry, the economy is normal. We had a boom in our economy because of industrialization, but every country does that. It'* not our turn to be the manufacturing center of the world anymore. We're going to turn into a service based industry, much like other westernized countries. Move to the coast, that'* where the jobs are at!
Also, you're right about everything else. I'm just hoping there won't be a zombie attack because of genetically mutated veggies.
And about World War 3, there'* a lot of news companies making money out of putting that fear into you. We've been FAR closer to a devastating world war than we are right now. (Don't get me wrong, we're still a little close for comfort).
But hey, at least you actually care about this stuff, and that'* a good thing. Some say ignorance is bliss, but I feel bliss is ignorant.

What really worries me is the spinless rhetoric that is getting so much airtime. Like this country has collectively lost its will to do much of anything. (Those who are old enough probably remember the mid 70'* under Carter.) There was the same general sense of hopelessness, doom, and gloom.
Worst case ever for this nation was the Great Depression. Even on the worst economic day in the past 60 years, nothing comes even close to holding a candle to the 1930'*.
regarding the depression, we had a world war to bring us out of it. i wonder if well be so "lucky" next time.
as for the state of the world . . . get out and do some good, and itll give you faith in humanity. i used to be scared of the future, what it holds, too. then i started volunteering. and taking education courses. and being on BC.
the sheer amount of goodness that i see every day gives me hope for the future. look at BonnevilleClub, what we can do, and what we do to help others. look at the goodness kids are capable of, and the goodness they demonstrate on a daily basis. and look at the number of volunteers who do help out.
we are on the crux of some important changes. our economy is in danger because we, as americans, are failing to adapt to a global economy (my opinion, i dont ask that you share it, just consider it). so we will change. it might be hard and might take a recession, but americans . . . no, humans are adaptable. forget about the violence in schools and forget about the murders all over the place.
kill 'em with kindness.
personally, i cant wait to see what the future holds.
