Yes my dear friend... but we all know WHY you have strong hands. Tag, YOUR IT.

Gojo... what you are discussing is no different from what woman have complained about in reverse. Just as occupation shouldn't make a difference, neither should bra size, or hair color, or weight. But it does in many cases, just as you are finding out
Generalizations don't work with me. Just because you've come across women who do "this" and do "that" doesn't mean that'* the way all are. Same goes for men.

I think the stigmata with being a mechanic (as seen by girls) is the grease, the dirt, and the grim. I know several full timie mechanics that you would never suspect they were but I know alot more that never seem to be able to get clean.
Just point out what the hourly rate at the shop is; most of them are able to do the math.

Keep lookin' gojo! I found my wife at a garage (now I find her at garage sales). She was doing safety inspections on cars when I brought my '67 Camaro in. I was a lowly aircraft mechanic at the time, but she didn't care. She probably thought "This loser has a nice car!". For me, not only did she look good at 5'2", 105 lbs, in those red coveralls, when she threw my rim on with one hand and grabbed the impact wrench with the other and blasted the lug nuts on without breaking a sweat - I was hooked.
:? ...or was it her hairy chest? I dunno.
...looks over shoulder for wife...

If she needs more maitence than my 91 Suburban, need to do the wheel bearings tonight; my 96 Blazer, rebuilding the motor tomorrow; and my Bonnie, the list never ceases; then go away and leave me alone

Gojo, this is probably gonna sound bad, but think about your audience. Women that are cruisin' the net are probably girls looking for a guy probably want a pretty boy, or an inheritance. You gotta hit the places where the real women are.
I'm not gonna try and tell ya where they are, though. I just got lucky and one found me...
