Personally, I'd let it go. What you're describing is probably a very common, probably even widely accepted, practice at any but a top-tier school.

i voted to blow it off since I didn't see any mention of proof of who copied who.
Heck it could even be some result of a course they took to be qualified to teach PP; you know how homework looks 99.9% the same from every student...

the reason why is, how do you know that these arent "generic" powerpoints that are used across the country? both teachers could have recieved a disc with there teaching books that contain the same powerpoints...

i dunno, i dont think its plagiarism as long as the teacher isnt taking credit for them.

Not to jack the thread by any means, but that apparently IS possible. I have been writing a massive research review on Autism for one of my neurology classes this semester, and we were hammered with plagiarism guidelines (as always with big projects) and I was told that even if I -- as a student -- had written a book on autism and didn't cite myself, I could still get charged with Academic Dishonesty, given an unforgivable F, and kicked out of the major/school. Ridiculousness. I'm sure if it WAS myself, it wouldn't go that far, but still...

Anyway, I'd say something to the dean about it as well. We are held to extremely strict ADH guidelines, and they should be expected to do the same. Regardless of who is reading your presentation, you should still always give credit to those who deserve it. Always.

According to plagiarism, not citing or referring to the originators IS taking credit.
