What does "RIP" stand for?
You people here use that extensively.

I grew up with Ed Sullivan.....then came Johnny Carson.....then came Arsenio and Jay Leno. All greats.
Ed Sullivan introduced acts like the Beatles, Rolling Stones, etc.
Johnny Carson introduced people like Seinfield, etc...Jay Leno took over from Carson.

Every one dies. Some sooner, some later.

May he rest in peace.

Thank god.

At first I thought it stands for "Reverse Integrated Polarity".

Rest In Peace,Johnny.......

I have reason to be thankful for Johnny Carson.
Mama always said if he had been on "That" night,I wouldn't be here!!!!

If it hadn't been for following the Tonight Show,David Letterman might not have been so successful.
As said before,Johnny was one of the greats!!!!!!

I am very saddened that he passed away. He was my favorite late night talk show host. When he retired then I switched to Letterman. I wish they would play reruns of the Tonight Show because those are priceless. He will be missed by many!
