Ah yes, the downside to having a computer for a phone. "RIIIIIING RIII.... (We're sorry, the application PHONE has stopped responding)"

Now that was funny.

Disclamer: The following is a frustration bent parody and an attempt to mix my perceptions with humor, and shouldn't read by thin skinned people wired to the world wherever they go

. I tried to stay out of this discusion, but my tounge is raw from biting it. I look at men in town tapping away gingerly and think "How GAY". Really. I don't own a cell phone. I don't want one. I'm a man. I like to roam around unhindered or bothered. I have a real life where I don't need to be hooked to somebody to think I'm secure. Have most become so hooked they have learned to ignore the fact they look like sissy fools holding something that really replaces thumpsucking. And Momma'* Apron strings? I am So glad I live in an area that because of it terrain and little population density will never have any good coverage. We don't take our phones to our quarries and woods. We actually walk or drive to a neighbors to talk, ask for something, or just shot the **** with a beer. Even though we have land lines. If we get a phonecall most of us reply, well if you really want to talk about it,... come over a have a beer. Cell phones are for the wives when we send them to town to get stuff. I think Iphones forgot one really needed feature. The screen that shows a self portrait titled "Look at me, Iiiiiiii'm gaaaaaaaaaaaaaay. I don't need something hanging on to my belt to lose or crunchin my nuts in my pocket. I don't need every application that resides on my desktop when I go hunting, fishing, or making my beer rounds to local friends. And I don't need to have to keep avoiding all the swerving idiots who think they can jam in and out of lanes while watching a 3 inch screen and making the fingers tap tap tap the little girlie keys.

John, I agree with you for the most part. Only problem with me is I HAVE to have a cell phone being Military and all. They think that they have to be able to get a hold of me at all times. BUT, when I go out doing something in the woods or whatever I don't take the phone. The phone stays at the house or it goes with me when I go to town...just so I can be reached in a timely manner. When I go into a place to eat or bar, it stays in the car. When I get to the racetrack, it stays in the car. When I'm at the bonfire, it stays in the car. You get what I'm going for here? I'm sure you do, you're a smart guy.

Ya, I just stretched things a bit. It just makes me crazy when I go to the city and see everyone totally absorbed into the cells. It'* ridiculous. I go to a Restaurant to eat and whole family'* chew and text/talk/play inbetween bites. Never saying a word to each other. Mom And Dad get each kid one so they won't be bothered while using their own. I walk into a bar, same deal. How can you chat, drink beer, and play pool with it all. I'm waiting for cellular implants and people can just live in their own little world reclining their pudgy little bodies fed by the state. I see more and more people with no peripheral vision tripping, walking into stuff, stepping out in front of cars in parking lots, and killing and maiming people to the point texting laws are being mandated. Technology has brought society into a lull where old values and activity are becoming totally absent. Sorry state of existence IMO.

Also, what new thing did the Torch bring to the table that the Droid/Droid2 didn't already have?

I must have missed something. It'* just the Blackberry version it seems.
