From what I have heard, Apple'* contract with AT&T is soon to expire, and the iPhone will be available on Verizon and a few others when it does.

No. Not until Verizon'* upgrade to 4G is complete, or at least close. Apple has already said they won't make a CDMA phone. Besides, Verizon is selling tons of Droid phones so they don't need the iPhone anymore.

Thats what I like to hear! I don't know what I would do if Apple made something for Verizon. I don't know why they would anyway, it seems like Apple and AT&T have a good thing going, between the iPhone AND the iPad.

Tons of AT&T customers want to switch to Verizon, but won't because of them having the iPhone. If AT&T ever loses the exclusive contract and Apple does build for Verizon, then AT&T is gonna be hurting.

I switched to Verizon and a Droid because AT&T sucks that bad. I'm happy I did.

I see it happening. And there has been some hints of it on the net lately. I think MS making 7 available for cell phones is fueling this. Even though the IPhone is popular, there is a large base of people that simply think, "I'll take anything over an Apple product. Win7 is going to raise the marketing bar.

The iPhone is scheduled to be released to Verizon in 2011.
