I can imagine in 2035 ads up like this:

NOS 2004 Prius Window Telemetry Control Module, never installed, $4,500.00 priced to sell!

(totally BSing there, IDK what modules a Prius has)

. . . or even better (also in 2035):

67,000 original mile 2004 Prius stored for 20+ years

Here'* a true survivor Prius for sale that was snatched up on eBay recently for only $48,876. The term "barn find" is thrown around a lot, but this on was truly pulled out of a Southern California barn after sitting there untouched for 20+ years. Obviously it needed a complete fluid flush and transfusion, but with just a new battery she fired up and was ready to roll.

This 2004 Prius is a true numbers matching car that hasn't been molested over the years. It will make a great restoration project for the new owner. It'* still powered by the original 1497cc small block and DK61250 CVT transmission. The original Driftwood Pearl (tan) paint is understandably worn, but it'* a great looking color for this era. Other than the hood, which is from another '04 Prius, the sheet metal is all original and only has a few scuff marks on the plastic bumper covers. The burgundy/dark gray cloth interior is in good shape considering the age and conditions it was stored in.

Although not an ultra rare model, the options on this Prius make it a very desirable restoration candidate. Factory cruise control, power windows and CD player stand on top of the rather long options list. Others include tilt steering, remote mirrors, power brakes, period-correct radial low-rolling resistance tires, satellite radio (compatible with the old SiriusXM service), power steering, console, hood and trunk light, rear defogger and of course the ECO package.

Any true car guy can only dream of uncovering a barn find like this. Let'* hope the new owner breathes new life into this classic Prius and she hits the road again soon.
