Default Presents arrive in the Mail !!!

So I placed an order thru National Parts Depot for some much needed Trans Am resto parts and they arrived today.

When I got home from work I was surprised to find my wife had paid the UPS man over $100. for Customs duty. ......and there were 3 large boxes.

I had only ordered a few little parts totalling about $150. so I was very surprized to see these 3 large boxes.

I opened the first box and discovered a treasure chest of 1968 Chevelle parts.
The second box contained the Chevelle complete carpet set.
The third smaller box was my Trans Am parts.

I will have to contact NPD and arrange to return these to their rightful owner. If I were him, I would be pissed. He lives in southern Ontario about 4000 mi away from me.

.....and they better re-imburse the money I paid for Customs. His parts total came to almost $400.
I like the '68 Chevelle......bet it has a 396 big block. :P

Not sure if it was a UPS or NPD screw up. Either way, someone will pay.

UPS has nothing to do with this. The manifest department of the company from which you ordered needs a slap on the wrist.

No, the other boxes had the other guys address on them.

I think you are right and it was an NPD screw up.

I'm going to try and get some free product out of them for my trouble.....and honesty. :P

Usually companies handle the internal errors by giving you credit. Now that'* just a thought, I don't know how they're going to repay you.

Ding ding ding.....it did turn out great.

NPD came good for the costs by giving me credit and free shipping for my next purchase. Snagged a complete interior carpet set, no charge and free freight...about a $200. value.

The other guys parts are going back to him on Monday. I will have to pay UPS $60. to ship them but the credit will cover it.
