V8 Performance parts for sale
Kinda starting a side business. I get a really good discount at my work, so I figured I'd pass the savings on to you (and make a couple bucks for myself in the meantime ). We mainly stock parts for Chevy engines, but we do also have some Ford, Chrysler and Pontiac parts. Just send me your wish lists, and I'll get back to you with prices.

I dont know where you work exactly, but that sort of thing would violate the terms of employment (or whatever its called) for most any business. If anyone ever found out, it would be an excellent way to lose your job.
Again, I dont know the circumstances, but I know that even at the convenience store I work at theyre very uptight about the employee discount policy. If your place is anything like that, buying parts with your employee discount, then reselling them would probably be a violation of something contained in that mass of paperwork you signed when you started.

There are two different levels of discount. If I'm buying something for my own personal use there is one discount level. If I'm doing it for resale, the markup is a little bit higher. Trust me. Half of the tech guys in the front office build engines on the side. They all buy parts with their discount then turn around and sell the engines. One guy even has his own business building engines. What I'm doing is no different, except there is no labor involved. Totally legit. It'* one of the perks of working for the 4th largest performance parts retailer in the country.

Boy I am sure curious who you work for being so close to me. The 4 largest retailer. Hmmmm not sure who number one would even be. The only ones that even come to mind are Summit , and Jegs.

Yeah, Summit and Jeggs are the big two. Number three is a company called Doug Herbert Performance. He is mainly east coast. He drives the Snap-On dragster. The company I work for is called Competition Products. There is another company down south that is pretty close to us in sales called Engine Tech. They have more than one catalog, but their black book is just our catalog with a different cover.

Ah, I see now. Cool thank you for clearing that up. I can't say that I can afford it now but I am wondering how much a set of AFR 165 heads and a Weiand Stealth intake for a SB Ford 302 would be? I have been wanting to switch to that manifold itself for about 5 years now. I currently have a Weiand Xcellerator which is a single plane and I am still trying to find more low end grunt. Thanks much.

Does your employer carry GM Performance brand? (I'm in the market for an LT4 Hot roller cam for a '95 LT1...just the cam by itself, don't need the kit with lifters and rockers )

I was planning on sticking with the slightly better than stock LT4 Hot grind pattern where as all of the aftermarket grinds look to be a little too much for a stock motor without any supporting mods to the heads. (my target motor is a 0.030 overbore, hypereutectic piston, stock GM crank/rods/heads/intakes...nothing wild, just your typical overbored LT1 emmissions motor for a '95 F-Body.) The LT4 grind looks like the best way to punch up the motor a little without getting into major tuning sessions on the PCM...maybe do 1.6 rockers later as an experiment, but for starters it will be using stock stamped steel 1.5 rockers.
