Interchangable alternator?

Interchangable alternator?
Would a alternator from a 1987 pontiac 6000-le 2.8 auto work on a 1995 ford contour 2.0 auto? Would the mounts match up? Would the connectors match up? cause if the mounts match up some modification could be made with the connectors.
