I was on hear about 2 years ago. I lost my 97 40th anniversary edition in a T-Bone accident. Well I moved on and got a 97 SHO, but I recently just bought my girlfriend a 95 Bonneville SE. She has got a cracked grill And I a having a hard time finding a used one on ebay. I wanted to know if Her grill is interchangable with any of the older grills or any of the grills from her year?

92-95 I believe...

Grilles from a 93 SLE and 94-95 SE can be used on your car. 92 SE and some 93 SE used a different grille design but will work on your car. A grille form a 92-95 SSE or SSEi will not work

Any 92-95 SSE or SSEi grille WILL work on a 95 SE.

92 and 93 SE will not work, but 93 SLE will.

Actually, the 92 and 93 SE Grille will work, but they look totally different. It'* the same hood and all. If you give me your color, I can give you a GM part number to buy a pre-painted grille for about 80 bucks.

The SSE grille is not as tall. SE bumpers dip in for the grille, while the SSE ones are flat. It'll work but you'll have a bad gap.

If you don't want to spend the big bucks on a new grille you can also check out www.car-part.com for a cheapie.

Incorrect. They are all EXACTLY the same part number and application. It'* the bumper that'* different between the SSE/SSEi and the SE/SLE. There is absolutely no difference whatsoever between a 92 SSEi grille and an SE grille from 95, other than perhaps color offerings year to year.

To take things further, the only thing making a 92/93 SE grille with the different logo not exaclty the same fit is the grille brackets being a different part number, so if you wanted to put these on any 92-95 SSEi, SSE, or 94/95 SE, all you'd have to do is make sure you get the grille brackets with the 92/93 donor SE grille.

This is fully researched and backed up. 92-95 SSE/SSEi grilles WILL work, as well as 94/95 SE grilles, and all these will look IDENTICAL and work perfectly. 93 SLE grilles have a slightly different insert, but will fit perfectly.

I believe that they are 2 different grille inserts for 93-95 there is a 93-95SE/SLE and then a 92-95 SSE/SSEI grille. The SE/SLE grille is like honeycomb insert and the SSE/SSEi grille is like a oval insert

I've already stated the different look of the grille insert in a post above. And the issue here is fit.

Quite frankly, he'* not going to have an easy time finding an SSEi to get a grille from, nor an SLE for that matter. And the SSE isn't going to be much easier. He'* most likely going to find a donor 94/95 SE at a wrecker.

BonneMeMn, unless you have some magical proof of what you claim, please don't confuse this issue further. The topic author isn't going to know which end is up.
