Lounge For casual talk about things unrelated to General Motors. In other words, off-topic stuff. And anything else that does not fit Section Description.

I'm tempted by the dark side.

I like my bonneville but the mustang is way more fun.
Yes an older bonneville would be far cheaper but RWD is SOOOOOOOOOO much more fun than FWD.
If you can afford the insurance and have a winter vehicle then DO IT!

I think Mustangs are one of the few sporty cars out there that still have a solid rear axle. That'* why the handling is stated as being so horrible. The Bonneville has a four-wheel independent suspension.

Pearl Bonnie is trying to sell her 2002 SSEi for ~$8500.

The high end mustangs have an independent suspension. Regular mustang is a straight line racer just like my truck.

So, does the GT with its solid rear axle have better handling than a Bonneville?

I think it would be about even. I owned a 2005 Bonneville GXP and I didn't think it handled well at all. My current BMW 745i could out handle it by a mile but 0-60 I would get smoked by the mustang not the GXP.

P.*. I miss my GXP
