That mustang will out handle a bonne HANDS DOWN.Lots more modifcation aves to go with also.Best thing would be to put a blower on it and be done 12-14lbs. of boost. That will get you into the 10'* with slicks and the right susp. mods.Been there done that.

thanks for all your responses. its still somewhat a dream at this point, since i would be able to afford it/ take out a loan for a couple months, but im still gunna look into it. im pretty sure the price is a "family" discount, as i believe it is how much he owes on it, and im sure he would sell it for more to a regular joe.
thanks jim for pointing it out that it wouldnt be all about speed, it would be about owning a new mustang which i have liked since i first saw them. plus its a V8

But to the OP: In performance you'd be better in every aspect, but you would have RWD in winter, which if it'* your only car in Duluth wont fly (i'll assume you'll have something else).
If it truely is that cheap, and a good example of an 06 GT, you'd be crazy not to jump on it, if nothing else but to flip it for a big profit. These handle much better than the fox bodied stangs of recent, they have more power, and the interior isn't bad.

id probably drive the blazer in the winter if i could have my way, but that the thing, that it seems impractical for an 18 year old to have 2 cars, but if i can work up the money the summer im totally gunna hit it, if its in good shape of course.
