Whoops. Mystique was the Mercury version of the Contour, not the Escort. I'm not sure that Mercury got a version of that generation of Escort.

Yes, defintiely a last gen Escort. They kept making the two-door version of that car as the ZX2 for a couple years after the 4-door was replaced by the Focus.
