Yup, I knew it would eventually happen, I went out this morning to head out to get something to eat.....Hmm....where are my keys?

So I look in the car, SURE ENOUGH, they are in the ignition. I feel SO embarassed about this, as it'* the only set I have.

So.... my question is how to get the keys out without ruining anything? Note - Breaking something is not a option. :(

I assume this would fit in the 92-99 section?

Can you wait untill tomorrow? That will be the best / cheapest way to go about it. Bring your vin # up to a dealership and have them make you a door key using your vin. It will only cost a few bucks. I did this with my '89 SE.

You might need to bring some sort of proof of ownership also

As far as getting anything through our doors..... good luck. The door frame on our cars sits under the roof, making it basically impossible to get to

And the 89.95 locksmith is Mon-Sat only..... Sundays are on-call.... $129.95.

There is no way possible that you can borrow a friends car, or parents car???

I just would HATE to see you spend that kind of money when you can do the same thing tomorrow for about $10.

Oh I absolutely will not spend $130 to get my car unlocked. I'd rather bust the window. Which I won't.

Dad works tomorrow, I don't live with Mom, and her car has problems.

I just might have to drive 100 miles to pick my extra set of keys up from petraman.

It'* not that hard with a slim jim. I've done it a couple times for Jseabert (never for myself, because I carry an extra door key for each car in my wallet, and a hidden ignition key inside each car).

does you car insurance cover this? With State Farm, I can just send the bill to them and they write a check to me.

How the locksmiths get in is pulling the top of the door frame open (not to far to spring it) an using a long prod to actuate the door unlock button.

I won't let them do that to my car though, because that can bend the window frame
