Ok like many of your know I work as a computer technician for a local computer shop. Well a few days back we got a system that the client wanted us to back up all these files that were on floppies to CD'*. Ok fine.
Then this client wanted us to transfer, by installing basically, programs from one old system to a new one. Ok fine.

I get a call a few minutes ago saying how they can't save their documents to their CD'* or make changes. The client complained that it came up with a message saying something about it being "Read-Only". WELL NO ****! It'* a friggin CD!!!! They said they wanted the crap backed up to CD, we did that. And for god sakes I thought they would understand by having 3 computers that this was the case with CD'*. Obviously not!

I explained this to the client and and that they would have to copy all the files to their hard drive to make changes and they get pissy saying "Well I could have copies these over to the hard drive from the floppies myself!"

Then why the hell are you bitching as me damnit.

Don't get me wrong, nicest and greatest family I've done business for a long time....but boy do they have an ugly side to 'em and need to be slapped.

BTW: I gotta vent this way or I may go annal on some customer who walks in.

I know how ya feel man. I fix and administer computers all the time, and I've come to realize that most people are pissy.

All I can say is at least they didn't use the CD drive for a cupholder. I replaced one of those 5-6 years ago....

LMFAO some people are Computer Literate , Almachtige, are you A+ Certified? or Network +???

No I havn't gotten around to any certifications yet. But I've realized that certification, logically, means jack. There is a korean that works with me who knows networks up and down more than anyone I've met...but he doesn't have one certification. Plus if you ask some of these A+ people certain questions, they have no idea.

Yes I will eventually get multiple certifications, just to get a nice job though...not to prove myself.

My son is a freshman in high school and he'll have his A+ cert at the end of the year. They give that as an intro to computers class at his school. Nuff said.

I will be A+ certified in June of 2003.
