Default How to Knock over an old pole with a Buick

So one one of my other brothers just got a house in Tulsa. He and his wife moved in a few weeks back and it seems like they've been having trouble backing out of the driveway (its narrow to start with) since theres this old basketball goal pole in the way.

I was down there last weekend and we came up with an easy way to get it down... just push it with the nose of sister in laws Buick to fatigue the metal and then bend it a bit by hand and yank it out of the ground. Worked like a charm

So heres a link to the vid on photobucket and, as usual , the video is kinda choppy. I'm uploading it to Youtube also where the vid quality seems to be slightly better....

Anyway, Enjoy :P

That'* a narrow driveway????? My parents is about 2/3'* as wide as that. And I thought that was wide!
That is quite the way to remove the pole though.

Yeah..... the car has some serious issues.... I just haven't had time to get down there and fix it. Its got a hole in the exhuast, some broken vacuum fittings, a weak alternator, and some nasty damage to the PS fender and front door, to name a few issues.

But it runs well enough to knock over a pole! :P

Steel bumper

Apparently it was entombed in concrete but all we did was shear the pole at the point where the concrete started instead of digging it up the hard way.
