You are not the first for that one. I have been asked dozens of times if I had a V8 under the hood. Its usually the first thing a Honda owner says after loosing a race.
I Tell them it is a V6 in need of a tune up and I got 100'* of friends with the same car and they are alot faster than me

Not only am I most of the way through schooling to be a mechanic but I have owned and worked on many a car... but still I learn something new on this site every time I get on here. I am Happy to hear about any other women loosing the fear of messing things up under the hood of a car though, its not so scary huh... actually quite easy and with some know how ( which you seem to be soaking up like a sponge) and common since your gonna be just as good as the Guys !
