Minus the rims on thr GTO

Plus the firebird gets 7 mpg better gas mileage on the highway and 3 mpg better gas mileage in the city.................

Is that the v6 Firebird though? I rather have the TransAm if I was going for muscle.

Default SWEET!

That Firehawk looks real sweet and at the same time DEADLY! It looks like its ready to eat up the highway. To me, thats what a sports/muscle car is all about (looks and performance for back up). Who cares about the best comfort and refinement. This is not a family car for the kids to ride in the back. Neither are or should be. Its all about speed and power or at least knowing you have it reserved and ready.

that first one isn't a v6, its a Ws6, id take it over a firehawk

the all out muscle sports car for cheap didn't work, which is why the disco'd the F-body'*. the luxurious comfortable rwd sports/muscle car has been working for companies like infinity, lexus, nissian etc etc

still a 6 cylinder "muscle car" and I would still take a 8 cylinder TransAm over it anyday. its like calling the v6 mustang a muscle car also. just wont happen in my book.

Ws6? two cylinders on the side and one in the middle? :?

looking at all this makes me depressed I WANT SO BAD not right now tho cause gas prices are so high

But I'd end up blowing it up I agree with the saying a kid shouldn't have more than 10 times his age in horsepower so a 18 year old shouldn't have more than 180 hp in his car......so my 125 hp contour fits in my catagory

Twister, The WS6 is a handling and performance package (it is actually an RPO designation). The WS6 was the hotest V 8 powered TransAm offered by Pontiac. I believe the Firehawk is actually an SLP conversion--not directly from Pontiac. On the latter WS6, you can see the badge "WS6" below the right rear tail light. Don't be confused...it is a V 8 with grunt. In 1978 or 1979, the WS6 was the last TransAm to get the Pontiac 400. Other TransAms had already gone to the 350 or the 403 (or 402?) Oldsmobile engine due to emissions. The 2002 WS6 had a 5.7L. No V 6 ever came in a WS6.

The WS6 is the RPO for the performance and handling package package it included badging, handling suspension, etc....it is not a "W" engine as in some of the VW'*.
