Anyone else read the latest test for the new GTO against the old style Mustang? (cant remember which magazine it was) Mustang beat out the GTO in every performance category, but won the ride comfort and easy to drive long distance categories.

ws6 had the bigger front scoops, v6 and reg v8'* had smaller hood scoops

whoever said ws6 is a pontiac upgraded v8 firebird is right, it is like the ss is to the camaro (as someone else said).

the firehawk is older, in the later years even the v6'* had fogs in the middle.

the anneversary edition was the "ws6 35th anniversary" i believe 35th, not sure on that...but yeah. friend in highschool had one might have been 30th - that im not sure on

the 30th(1994) was the slightly less curvy Lt1 that was white on white on white(rims, too) with one big ol blue stripe down the center. the 35th(1999) was the newer Ls1 style, which was also white, but had two blue stripes from the ram air to the back and blue chrome wheels(did a report on them back in hs).

PS too lazy to find pics...

The GTO is ugly I am blessed to work at a Pontiac dealer in New York. I drove one in the snow, now that was fun. I have five GTO'* in stock. The interior is awsome the looks are so-so. In are training class on the GTO they told us that they made the GTO to look like it never left the GM line-up. That is why it isn't that aggressive. Next year there will be hood scopes and a few other options. The nicest GTO we have sold was the blue on blue. GM is talking about going to a dual exhaust ( one at each side). We only have one stick I have a feeling it is gonna be a flop untill certain things change on the car. The car is lighter then a F-body. The automatic is only a tenth of a second slower then the stick! :arrow.
