Coming from someone who just got out of the car searching experience, whatever you do-patience is key. When I was out looking, I did look at a couple GPs and they do come in some really interesting colors-namely the kinda different bronzy brown color.

i was in mind for 99 black gtp low miles. waht the gtx and comp g going for? are they worth the extra money? or how about any other comparable cars to the gtp?? id also love a rumbly v8 with straight pipes.

The Comp-G is only in the 2004+ models.
A car very similar to the GTP is a Buick Regal GS. These cars compete with BMW 5-Series cars, the Taurus SHO, and various others in the same power class.
Don't worry about reliability issues. Just like every car, there are problems. But for the most part, a GP is a solid car.
