I use the Sanyo xacti C40 digital movie camera. Takes amazing photos and video. I paid $150.00 for mine at RS on sale. I would look into it. 4 MP 5x optical zoom 60x digital soom

This would likely be the camcorder to get. I searched for reviews and someone had a long blog post about it so I e-mailed him and asked a few questions about it. Only bad thing according to him would be the joystick on it.
$147.14 shipped. Hopefully will get it before the meet.
