Default Good Camera that can record sound? Also I made a myspace...

I'm not rich enough for a $600 camcorder but I want something that can record video w/sound with decent quality. Suggest away!

If any of u remember I made a thread like this a while back but now I need to record sound so I can spice up my brand new myspace.

well since canon has been mentioned, i'll choose the next best thing. Nikon. Mine was recently stolen, but i've taken hundreds of perfect vids with it. Mine was a coolpix 7900, but there are tons of nice ones out.

Actually I was looking for something in this price range maybe a little bit higher...

Are any of those camcorders ok?

Remember just to take decent videos in sound. Barebones for me

For the price range you're talking, they don't look too bad.

You're not gonna get Hollywood level video, but they use standard, easily available SD cards. I would go in person to look though at what type of USB cable they use (standard or proprietary). And read around on battery life from people that already have them

Well, of the ones you were looking at my wife'* cousin has this one

Decent little camera for what he, being 12, needs. Video qaulity is good for the price and it records sound wich is what you are looking for. Eats up batteries big time though, leave a new pair in it overnight and you can expect them to be dead in the morning, so rechargeable are a MUST. Biggest downside is that it dies not have a flash so and still picture taking is best done outdoors.

Now, for a higher price range, I've been extremely pleased with my Pentax Optio M20.
The price has come down since I bought mine, wich had a sticker of around $200.00, though now you can find it for $150 easy and walmart.com has it for even cheaper.

It'* no DSLR but it takes some great pics. And the video qaulity is very good too, and the microphonw does a good job at picing up sounds. It'* pretty easy on the batteries too, using two AA at a time. A pair of lithium batteries will go you a long way, although I use rechargeable and they hold there charge incredibly well.

Also look into HP cameras. I have a HP Photosmart M425 and really like it. Nice video with pretty good sound. Here is a example of the video/sound quality -

I can't tell if it has flash. Looks like this would be the camcorder thats decent and I can afford.
