A lot of GM cupholders were designed by Nifco. Most, if not all, are designed by suppliers.

Well, my GP has zero cup holders up front. It does have two in the back, but I wouldn't use them unless you wanted your liquids all over the place. Those cup holders back there are really shallow.

I have one good usable one up front and both in the back are good to use unless you try to put dual 44oz cups or something ridiculous in it

This. Except both of my fronts are usable.

Also, my 91 S10 didn't have any. Sucked.

My Cutty has one up front and it doesn't work at all. It slides out of the center console type. It'* adjustable but there is no one to make it stop adjusting. If you put a can of coke in there and hit the brakes. The cup holder will adjust so it'* bigger and you lose you can.

Only way that both fronts are usable is if the one towards the rear has a can of pop. Fountain drinks, you can forget about it
