Lounge For casual talk about things unrelated to General Motors. In other words, off-topic stuff. And anything else that does not fit Section Description.

FWI suggestions, hints, tips, whatever (never mind)

Custom88 made a fab homemade CAI for his 3.5 Aurora, did you converse with him first?

yeah we discussed it, he actually wanted to do a FWI, but the auroras fenderwell is apparently pretty well sealed off and inaccessible, which to my understanding is why he made his go behind the headlight...we took some measurements and whatnot and figured out the Intrigue setup wouldnt work on the aurora.

To bad, FWI isnt really my choice intake system, and his for a CAI was pretty damn good. I figured with a few modifications and innovation it could work in the Intrigue.

Oh well, good luck with the purchase!

Looking at this..it looks like they do get the filter into the fender.

Now is it just me or does it look like they cut the sheet metal to get it in there?

Bill, there are words on that page, not just pretty pictures.

* Installation requires slight modification to engine bay sheet metal – sawsall or jigsaw recommended but can be done by hand.
