ok the basic electonic igintion on a furncae goes like this ok a fan kicks on,then the gas vavle opens, the the ignitor lights up(get really ******* hot) which ignites your burner then it travels down to the next, burner then the next burner, and so on ( depends on how many burners you have) on the last burner is a flame sensor (detects flame thats in place so that if the flame doesnt sense flame it shuts off the ignitor and close the gas valve so you dont blow you house up because of to much gas being released or if you have harsh ignition) then the blower kicks on and blow air through the house

im not that good at explaining but if a missed anything feel free to add it in

So why does it take 10-15 minutes after the burners are lit for the blower to turn on?

How old is your furnace? From the looks of it you don't have electronic ignition like GAMEOVER described.

Game....good description!

It'* estimated between 20-30 years old. I doubt it is 30.. but 20 seems about right. I don't know what kind of igniter is has.. 'cept its old.
