just went out and took these. i just caught the last quarter. I didnt have my camera on me earlier. I too need a zoom lens. I could probably take a few pictures with the 35mm slr that has a 75-200mm lens but im too lazy and i would have to get film developed. I took these with my 10.2 mp Nikon D40x. Really tiny from this distance

I've seen these similar events before many years ago. It was red then
There must be some serious pollution and ozone damage to give that reflected red glow to the moon...................better take warning.
