nope, i suspect the float is bad on the carb. we had to put an electric fuel pump on it, and it puts a constant 5 psi on the carb until it shuts off with the engine. and, we put it back by the tank too, so there is all of that gas line running at 5 psi from about the rear wheels up. you shut off the car, and it has to go somewhere, like the carb, because the carb will let it all in, because of a <suspected> bad float. i kinda wish it would have caught fire, just me not being around though. im starting to dislike it.

I normally don't work on this particular day.

I witnessed/was involved with a serious industrial accident where a 19 yr old boy could have been killed back in 2002.

Almost didn't go to work this morning but I had to because I hadn't put in for a vacation day!

I had a Friday the 13th moment myself, today. I was finishing up cleaning up the garage so I could roll the Bonnie in. I shoved a small pile of stuff off to the side with my foot, looked around, and reached for the doorknob to go inside, when I smelled smoke. I looked around, rying to find out where it was coming from, and spotted a small plume of black smoke from the pile I had just moved. It turns out that there was a loose match in the pile, and when I moved the pile, the match struck itself. It was lying, burning, with the flame touching an old shop rag, right next to two cans of wood sealant.
If I hadn't caught that little whiff of sulfur...

Today sucked.

I had a badass day at work. Put four new tires on a Trailblazer in 38 minutes, that'* the time from when I got the keys to when I gave them back, And I started Monday. Super Good.

Then on the drive home I pulled up at the light and torque braked to 1500 so I didn't have to put up with a lopey idle. Then a 96-99 SSEi pulled up with an older couple, Their window goes down. She says "You ready?". The light turns green. I want a supercharger. Two lengths in 40ft.

Of course as I let off the gas I heard a "eeeeeeeeeekkkk" followed by a "EEEEEEEKKKKKKKKK" and a final "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA" as my right side hub locked up. Very fun. I pulled over (really the car pulled itself over) and had a great conversation with them as I beat it back into it'* track and did 10mph home with my emergency blinkers on. Cool people.

Today sucked.
