last friday the 13th, in august of last year, i hit a telephone pole at 35-40mph. Fun stuff, eh?

oh yeah friday the 13th, that was the day I got an un-announced visit from my district manager and got a 7 hour azz chewing!!!! I remember THAT day!!! Grrrrrrrrrr

the damage would not have been nearly as bad if they could have gotten the carbon fiber trunk open... It took the Fire dept nearly 10 minutes to open it

I saw the problems that the local FD hed getting a CF hood open on a local ricer. One of the fire-fighters finally ran back to the truck and grabbed a sledgehammer. One good whack and they had a 5" hole through the hood, stuck the hose in and filled the engine bay with foam. Quick-thinking fire-fighter saved the guy around $5,000 in mods. All the hose and plastics bits were deformed, but he was able to remove and replace all the half-melted bits, rather than having to junk the engine. Another minute and the plastic and rubber would have melted completely, making it impossible to clean up the motor.
