Football and driving don't mix
So there I was on Saturday around 1:30 cruising north on RT 19 in SWPA listening to WVU football. They had just turned to ball over twice to VA tech and VA scored both times. Needless to say, I am getting a little excited (ie frustrated) and failed to see that I was exceeding the speed limit by 16mph. A friendly neighborhood office was kind enough to pull in behind me and turn on his lights to alert me to that fact. I did make him follow me for about 150yds, which was starting to frustrate him. But when he seen that I was looking for a very nice spot to pull off the road to get him out of traffic, I could see him nod his head in appreciation. Once pulled over, I put her in park, shut her off, and threw the keys on the dash (these guys always approach expecting the worst, I want to settle them as much as possible). I explained that I was into tgame and upset about WVU, he laughed. End result, he reduced the ticket to failure to obey a traffic control device and minimum fine!
