America is not United enough to do anything about it.

I think the only thing that would really work is for everyone to buy gas at just 1 or 2 stations and places that dont get business will probably be forced to drop prices.

But like I said. America is not united enough so lets all just get use to it. Drive slower. IT saves lots of gas. Dont drive your Ford Excursion with 1 passenger to the mall either

I think the only people who have a valid excuse complaining about gas prices are people who have cars that get over 35 MPG because they are actually trying. People who drive SUVs or 500 Horsepower cars shouldnt bother. I feel bad for small businesses though that NEED trucks.

The simple fact is this country is one of the most (if not #1) dependant on gas. We like our huge yards, huge cities, and the bigger your city is, the longer commutes are. If everyone lives 10 miles from work, and has to drive to get to any shopping, then gas will be used plenty.

Want gas cost to go down? Drive like your mother'* mother, take more efficient routes, and try to make trips more worthwhile (things like shopping).

EDIT: 1 US gallon = 128 US fluid ounces

20oz pop or water is atleast $1. A gallon of bottled water at the gas station is over $6, gas is $2.50 here, that'* something to think about.

My point is that both sides go to the extreme. Ecology and mining natural resources can coexist together. There is a balance, but only if each perspective works in harmony to acheive it.

As far as the boycott, unification is the key. A truly bipartisan effort in this country??? Possible, but doubtful. However, I would support it.

As long as gas is produced I'll be buying, it doesn't matter if its 5 or 10 dollars per gallon. I love to drive so I will! Until they pry my keys from my cold dead fingers!

Love the attitude behind that, but wouldn't it suck to have that pretty car repo'd because you couldn't make the payment because you spent all your money on fuel???
