I just got back from seeing this movie/documentary. Quite a powerful look at this current American administration, its economic interests and consequences of said economic interests.
Interesting quote
I'm not anti Bush or anti-republican, but I am anti-idiot
Interesting quote
George W. Bush: I call upon all nations to do everything they can to stop these terrorist killers. Thank you.
[brings up his golf club]
George W. Bush: Now, watch this drive.

It is not a film about Bush, nor Iraq but rather the system. In the words of Godard, 'we spend so much time looking for the key to the problem; we need to begin looking for the lock

I haven't seen the movie yet... I've tried twice to go see it but both nights all shows were sold out.
I loved Moore'* last film (Bowling for Coliumbine).... a real eye opener.
(side note, has anyone see "Roger & Me"?)
I've got F 9/11 downloaded.... but I'm not going to watch it.
I want to see it in theatres.... Moore is going to get my $8 Cdn.... anything to help get Bush out of office. (sorry I am anti-bush...... in all forms...

BFC was great, exposed Americas fascination with fear. Fear was also a big part of this movie. Remember the poison pens? and the terror alert scale? How scared to we have to be today George?
Zais? Have you seen it?

I haven't, i'd like to, but it'* not gonna open my eyes. I've learned too much about movies, and journalism in my studies to let them directly influence me.
My point was, there'* a lot that he doesn't show. He was golfing, and made a statement when asked. The president is one man, and certainly he can be allowed to golf at some point between 9/11 and the present right?

Want to see it, but we don't have one of the 900 theatres it openned in. Wait for the DVD I guess. But don't be fooled into thinkin' DuhBya is an idiot, he knows what he wants, and has some of the best "hired brains" to help him. You're right about it being a corrupt system, but they have some of the best PR people in the world wrapping their goals in the american flag on one hand and scarring the begeezus out of the soccer moms and NASCAR dads on the other. I just know I don't like the way the country is so polorized. In nearly 18 years of dispute resolution and bargaining, i found the best answers in the middle ground of cooperation.
