Shining armor isn't all it'* cracked up to be...

It'* freakin' heavy as all get out,
you sweat like a pig in it and can't move very fast.
If you're caught in the rain there'* a chance you'll rust shut before someone can help you out of it.
When you're trying to rescue a fair maiden, there'* the off chance that you could slip and knock her out with a gauntlet.

On the positive side...

It IS shiny and fair maidens like shiny objects,
plus the glint of shining steel can distract from any normal manly attributes that might frighten the poor helpless dears.

Yeah, I haven't been wearing mine too much lately. Ever since the squire went on to college, it'* been too much of a hassle to keep the darn thing polished all the time. Plus the mid-section seems to have shrunk or something...
