Default Drove a 2010 Pontiac G6 yesterday

Drove a 2010 Pontiac G6 with 10k miles yesterday. 4 cyl, automatic.

First impressions, looked nice on the outside. Inside looked fine. Drove 300 miles round trip. Very uncomfortable front seats, fully feels every single road blemish/defect including tiny ones about 2 seconds after you run over it. The cruise control in the wheel is the only nice feature I found, much better than the 2008 cruise control Chevy was usuing in its Venture mini van that I always struggled to figure out.

Can't recommend this car except for a teenager driving to school, but has a wicked blind spot- so even for a teen it is questionable.

We should all be very thankful we drive Bonnevilles. My 2000 SSEi with 130k miles is much more comfortable, performs much better and gets almost as good gas mileage. Will look into trying to keep Bonny a long time through proactive maintenance.

I've not been impressed with the G6. It'* hard to find a car as comfortable, has as much power, and drives as well as what we have now.

I drove a 4 cyl auto G6 a couple of years ago on our honeymoon for about five hundred miles and was impressed with it'* peppiness, it ran out its power band fast though. I didn't find it that uncomfortable, maybe that'* beacuse I was still dring my lowered Grand Am a little bit to. I do agree with Dan though..

First off, if you are going to rate one, atleast try a V6 one out. The 4 cyl is ok, but nothing compared to a 6 cyl.

my girlfriend just bought a 2007 G6 SE with the 3.5L V6 and it move and has great power. The seats aren't too bad, and she got the cloth with heated seats (rare option). the cruise on the wheel is nice, and I will be adding Radio controls to it along with a 6 disc factory changer shortly. The blind spots are not too bad if you adjust the mirrors properly. her car also has adjustable pedals, which is really nice. Allows up to adjust those instead of the seat when I drive it.

Overall it'* a good car, and like I said, it'* much better than the 4 cyl.

"Seats aren't to bad"

Its 2010. Need to have good seats in all cars except econoboxes. I rent cars about 2 weeks per month. Recently rented a 2009 Ford Focus and drove over 1k miles, much more comfortable and handles imperfections in the road much better. I can say the same about my recent Hyundai econbox they gave me with roll up windows. I was not talking about the engine, simply talking about how it felt to sit and drive in a G6 for 300 miles in one day. Very painful.

Buying a low mileage Bonny for less than half the money IMHO is a much choice.

Never liked the Look of the G6. Looks like a rounded off Grand Am to me. I hear ya on the butt comfort Guns. One thin I really appreciate about the GXP is the overall ride. From 2006-2008 I was basically commuting between here and Cincinnati every 2 weeks. The GXP made it quite easy to sit semi reclined for the 11-12 hour trip. Around town is a whole different world than having to frequent extended highway trips.

My brother has a 06 G6 GT Coupe, im not very impressed with it either. I mean it'* an OK looking car and it performs OK, but i have to support him in it because it is the nicest car he has owned. He got it because he has a 79 Z28 with a 4-speed and it cost him around 300 bucks a month for gas. He figured he might as well make a car payment for that. LOL
